Sleep well |

I'd had sleeping disorder since I was 9
years old. My sleeping disorder was due to several causes: In any case, here're how I was like: I dared not go to washroom with the door shut, I dared not look outside from the windows at night, and I dared not sleep when the lights were off. So every nite I kept my eyes open until my parents and sister went asleep. Then, I'd sneak into either of their rooms with my blanket and quietly slept on the sofa until dawn. When I saw the first beacon of sunlight projecting onto the floor, I would quickly move back to my room and continued to sleep until someone woke me up. Basically, I could only sleep for very little time because sometimes I didn't hear my sister and parents snoring until very late. When I went to high school in Vancouver, I won a prize in the mystery story writing contest. Truely, it wasn't surprising to me because I'd suffered from nightmare for so long and so frequently. Sometimes I could only remember the very last nightmare I had because there had been so many through the night. This sleeping disorder hadn't got any better when I moved to the university residence. In university, I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour and I got baptized. One time I talked to a sister in fellowship about my sleeping disorder and she asked me if I'd ever prayed to God and asked Jesus's blood to cleanse my sins. I told her I had done so. Then, she prayed with me together and asked Jesus's blood to cleanse my sins as well as the sins coming from my idol worshipper family members. She prayed for me that Jesus's blood will separate these sins from me now and forever as I've already been saved by Jesus's precious blood. Since then, I no longer have sleeping disorder. In fact, I can fall asleep no matter how noisy the environment is. For instance, I'll easily fall asleep within a minute as soon as my head touches the pillow. Do I still have nightmare? Yes, I still do occassionally, but I am no longer afraid of them because God will deliver us from evil. Isn't God's grace amazing? -- If God is already watching over you through the dark, you don't have to, so relax, and have a sweet sleep. Psalm Ch 4:8 "I will lie down and sleep peacefully, for you, Lord, make me safe and secure." |
